Naerin is the creative space of Paula Gabriela, a Brazilian-born, Barcelona-based illustrator and pattern designer. Naerin celebrates Paula's tropical Brazilian roots and her deep admiration for worldwide art history and folk art.

  • Drawn to whimsy, each design tells a story through its intricate details and unexpected elements, reimagining historical art forms with a contemporary twist and featuring animals and flowers as the main characters. Each piece aims to evoke joy and bring a touch of wonder to everyday life.

Paula's unique approach stems from her diverse background: a double major BA in Graphic and Industrial Design from ESDI in Brazil, complemented by studies in Fashion Design and Illustration in Barcelona. This multidisciplinary foundation allowed her to blend techniques and inspirations across various design disciplines, infusing each Naerin creation with a twist – and sparkles.

A little bit about Paula, beyond Naerin: She has two cats, they are gorgeous and her favorite hobby is to pet them. Actually, her favorite hobby is to pet any kind of animal. She hate cooking but loves eating. She also enjoys some well deserved – and maybe some no deserved at all – sleep, why not? Other than this, one could say that her favorite activities are reading, watching anime, finding restaurant gems, or spending uncountable hours in museums – especially if it's a decorative arts museum.
